By using Kingston’s Web Service Request, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this privacy statement and also the Kingston Technology Privacy Statement.
What information that we may collect
Company/ Individual name, Contact Person, Address, Telephone Number, Email address, product information and the details of the fault and any details of a third party or third parties who may be involved in your claim.
Information that is collected via the service request will be used for processing an RMA request, staff training and statistical analysis.
How we use information
The company/ individual name will be used for logging the enquiry, the telephone number and email address will be used for communication to establish the nature of the problem and determine a route forward and the address will be used for sending the product/s to.
Disclosure of your information
If contact via telephone is made out of office hours your call may be answered by a third party. The information you provide to us may be given to our staff working outside the UK, including staff employed by other companies within the Kingston Technology Company Inc group, if we feel that you will be offered a better standard of customer service via this route. Some of these companies are located in the US and others are located outside the European Economic Area. Countries outside the European Economic Area do not always have strong data protection laws. However, we will always take steps to ensure that your information is used in accordance with this policy. It is your right to request that your details are not passed on to other countries, however, this may mean that Kingston are unable to assist you with your case. Security, Data Retention, Access and Validation
Data will be retained for training purposes, logs and as a record of accountability as to how Kingston handled your case. The majority of Kingston products have a lifetime warranty (see Kingston’s warranty statement for details), therefore it is essential that we retain your data to assist with future support. It is your responsibility to contact Kingston with any changes to information held, once Kingston has been notified of a change it is Kingston’s responsibility to ensure that the information held is updated accordingly The information provided to Kingston will be held on our computers, in order to access the information an employee must enter the password of that computer then each application requires a user name and password.

You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact our Data Controller. We are entitled by law to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
